How to find and onboard creators
A short playbook: who to look for, how to filter Discovery, and how to get the first videos in.
Who to look for
Creators who already film the kind of thing you sell, in your city if you're local, with a showcase that shows they can hold a shot. Follower count matters less than you'd think; a 4,000-follower creator with a great product video often outsells a 100,000-follower one.
Using Discovery
- Open Discovery and set the Filter: niche, city, gender, age range, followers, gigs completed, rating, has portfolio.
- Open profiles The showcase plays their best clips. The Top videos tab shows their real TikTok and Instagram posts with view counts.
- Favorite the good ones The star saves them to your Favorited chip for later.
- Invite to a campaign or your community (see the invite guide).
Onboarding them well
- Write a brief with the hero product, the moment to film, and what to avoid. Vague briefs get vague videos.
- Ship the product before the deadline clock starts (see the Ship guide); the window begins when it lands.
- Answer in Chat within a day. Creators rate businesses too, and responsive brands fill campaigns faster.
- Approve quickly. Pay that arrives the day a video is approved is the best retention tool there is.
