How to connect your Shopify store
Link your store so every creator gets a code and a link, sales are credited automatically, and you can ship products to creators from your own store.
The connection starts on Shopify's side. You don't type your store address into Hype.
Steps
- Add Hype to your store from the Shopify App Store, or from Apps in your Shopify admin. Shopify asks you to approve the permissions Hype needs; accept.
- Open Hype inside Shopify It opens as a page in your admin and says Connect your store to Hype.
- Press Connect to Hype A new tab opens. Sign in to Hype, or create a business account if you're new.
- Confirm the account The page asks "Connect [your store] to [your business]?" so a shared computer can't link the store to the wrong account. Press Connect as ….
- Done Shopify confirms and you land back in your admin, showing Connected to [your business] with orders, sales and creator codes from the last 30 days. Integrations in Hype shows the store too.
What Hype uses in your store
- Orders: to credit a sale to the creator whose code or link was used, and to take refunds back off.
- Discounts: to make each creator's discount code.
- Products: to show your products on your Hype brand page and pick what to send creators.
- Draft orders and fulfillments: to send a creator your product at no charge when you choose to, and follow its tracking.
- Link tracking: a small web pixel notes which creator's link a shopper arrived from. No names, emails or payment details.
Disconnecting
Integrations → Disconnect, or remove the app in Shopify. Hype forgets the store's access right away; creator codes already in your store stay until you delete them there.
